As an independent emergency lighting manufacturer, we’re proud to play a key role in the development of the next generation of electrical engineers. Incredibly, not one but three of our current employees are all currently studying at Hugh Baird College.
Daniel Bold, Reece Webb, and Harry Adams are shining examples of why apprenticeships are so important to us. These talented individuals are gaining hands-on experience in real-world environments while contributing to high-profile projects across the UK, from Manchester Airport and historic London landmarks to major installations in Scotland.
For us, apprenticeship schemes are more than just training programmes. They’re an essential part of our business – investing in the next generation.
Les Simmons, our Installation and Service Supervisor and mentor to the apprentices, puts it best: “Ventilux is a nice family-run business that wanted to provide apprenticeships to local young people to grow the team. - Daniel Bold joined us in June 2024 after completing his Level 1 and 2 Diplomas at Hugh Baird College. He’s thriving in his role and describes Ventilux as a “supportive, nice, family-run team.”
- Reece Webb began his apprenticeship with us in October 2024, transitioning from the Autocare sector. Despite starting with no prior electrical experience, Reece has demonstrated a great work ethic and is making excellent progress.
- Harry Adams, our newest apprentice, joined us after completing his Level 2 and 3 Diplomas. He’s found a welcoming and growth-focused environment with Ventilux.
